🥄 Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken breasts or drumsticks only, not whole thighs or wings
- 0.5 kg finely chopped onions
- 0.5 kg finely chopped tomatoes
- 0.25 can tomato paste
- 1 green bell pepper
- 1 red bell pepper
- 3 tablespoons frying oil
- 0.5 tablespoon salt (or to taste)
- 2 tablespoons curry powder
- 1 tablespoon masala spice mix
- 2 cups water
👩🍳 Instructions
- Cut the chicken breasts into cubes or strips, as you prefer, and marinate them in vinegar and salt for 1 hour. Drain and set aside. Heat the oil in a pot, add the onions, and sauté until golden brown. Add the chicken and stir it in with the onions for about 10 minutes.
- Add the chopped red and green bell peppers and sauté for a few minutes. Then add the seven-spice mix, followed by the tomatoes, tomato sauce, and water.
- Simmer over very low heat for about 1.5 hour, checking occasionally.
