  1. Finely chop the onion and heat the ghee. Sauté the onion until it turns golden brown. Add the green bell pepper and stir, then add the blended tomatoes, tomato paste, red pepper paste, paprika, and salt. Bring to a boil with 3 cups of water.
  2. Now add the bulgur to the mixture and let it boil until the water level is reduced below the bulgur. Reduce the heat to very low and simmer until the water is absorbed and the bulgur is cooked through.
  3. If you prefer to use ground meat instead of ghee, as we usually do, sauté the onion in a pot until it turns golden. Then add the ground meat, break it up, and let it cook covered for 1.5 hour. After that, add it to the bulgur and tomato mixture.

Sprinkle chopped parsley on the dish.
