🥄 Ingredients
- 500g lentils
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- 250ml or 0.5 cup extra virgin olive oil
- Juice of 5 lemons or 0.5 teaspoon citric acid
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 cups cold water
👩🍳 Instructions
- Wash the lentils and pour 4 cups of water over them. Cook until tender, then blend if desired for a smoother texture, or leave as is.
- Heat the oil in a pan and sauté the garlic until golden brown. Pour it over the lentils, add salt and lemon juice, and let it simmer for 15 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.

This dish is eaten with dry Arabic pita bread, giving it a very distinctive flavor.

Garnish the lentil soup by sprinkling a little paprika on the plate.
